Gracious thanks to all the folks who brought in their
quilts for the show! We are overwhelmed by the response--we have more
quilts this year than ever before--thanks to all the community-minded
quilters who support this event by sharing their quilts!
This
October, the scenic mountain hamlet of Weaverville will wrap itself
in cozy quilts. Your
hosts, the Thursday Night Strippers Quilt
Guild, invite you to a town-wide quilt show spanning the entire
Historic District. Balconies, railings, store fronts and fencelines
will be graced with the quilter's art--a quarter mile of quilts!
Shopping opportunities abound! Local shops offer unique
items and quilting vendors will populate the Highland Meadow. Be
sure to pick up a Quilt Show program at our Welcome Booth, first
booth on the right as you enter the meadow. The program has handy
maps, schedules, coupons and may contain a winning ticket for a
door prize (1 in 4 is a winner!). Event T-shirts, mugs and gift
cards are also available--your purchase supports this quilt event.
As an added bonus, enjoy the fall colors of the Trinity
Alps. The weather in October is the finest of the year, with pleasantly
warm days and cool evenings. Majestic Alpine peaks surround the
valley of Weaverville offering grand views in all directions and
autumn leaves complement the colorful quilts.

TNSQG Raffle Quilt
Each
year the Thursday Night Strippers Quilt Guild creates a raffle quilt
to raise funds for worthy local organizations. Your purchase of
raffle tickets makes you part of this charitable work! The winning
ticket for last year's quilt, "Bear's Night Out", was
drawn at the end of the show. This quilt provided generous donations
to several local organizations. Considering the fire siege of summer
2008 and the current economic crisis, members voted to support organizations
that and provide fire protection and food to area citizens:
Be sure to buy tickets for this years quilt, to be unveiled at
the show!
